Personal Style: Winter Greys

Long time no fashion blog post. Between vacationing and dealing with the madness called Adult Life (which I have pseudo-hatred for), it’s been completely impossible to get anything done on the fashion end, from sewing to taking photos to writing blog posts.
DSC_0220-01After almost 2 years since I made this coat, I finally got a chance to wear it the other day (wow! 2 years tho!). I think sleeveless coats are tricky, takes a bit of expertise to be able to pick an outfit that doesn’t make you look like you stole or borrowed your mum’s oversized sleeveless jacket from 10 years ago (haha). The miracle that led to me being able to wear this coat was this dress.DSC_0237-01
I had thought over and over trying to figure out what would go best with this coat. Of course it couldn’t be something too basic because I’d run the risk of making the jacket look trashy, and it couldn’t be too out-there to take attention away from the jacket too. I had bought a bunch of Ribbed Knit fabrics in different colors awhile back and one day I remembered I had a grey one in there, so I searched it out and tried to figure out a design that would make an honest fabric out of it 😉 .DSC_0268-01
From a midi skirt and top to a mini dress and I finally decided on this slim fit turtle neck midi dress, and believe it or not, 90% of the time I am not very impressed by the things I make, but with this one I was satisfied. So simple, yet so classy and just the right amount of perfect.DSC_0188-01
I worried a little about the huge difference in the shade of grey of the dress and jacket but see, I’m not trying to impress Anna Wintour or the fashion police, as long as it doesn’t look like rags and it’s gentle on the eyes >:D, all will be right with the world. And yes, you guessed right, it is the same coat from my first blog post ever; aren’t you a smartie 😎 ? DSC_0211-03
And I just had to work this pair of shoes into the outfit (shoes which I got at an unbelievable price from Cotton On). Comfortable, sexy and best of all, the perfect shade of white (does white have shades? :/ ). They were the last pair at the store and they were going for a ridiculously cheap price, it was all I could do to not scream Hallellujah because I’ve been wanting white platform sandals like these since forever. Yay me!DSC_0236-02
DSC_0198-01The Sleeveless Extended-Lapel Coat was made from Melton Fabric. The Turtle Neck Long Sleeve Slim Fit Midi Dress was made from Ribbed Knit Fabric. I hope you like them <3.

I’m just here learning poses!!! I love the coat, which I could feel this confident in bodycon dresses

Lol this is literally the first time I wore a body con without a huge coat over it and allowed myself take a picture. It is still not something I can do often but I’m learning I look better without those extra layers, so baby steps. You should give it a try.

I love it! And yes white has shades. There’s the bluish, very white shade and the mellow almost with a brown undertone. I hope I’m not sounding mad. But years of buying fabrics have taught me this.

Anyhooo. You look fabulous. As always. ❤️

Aha! Glad I wasn’t wrong. Just wasn’t sure if the word was “shades”, not something else. Thanks my love!
