Exciting Future Plans For The TMId Blog & 2017 Travel Destinations

Is it weird that I’m only making 2017 plans towards the second half of the year? Well, let’s just blame ‘adulting‘. Aside from the usual excuse, I believe I’m now at a stable point in my life where I can make plans in advance, and trust that those plans will get executed within the expected timeframe. I have a few new and exciting ideas for the blog, and I thought it will be even better if I blogged about those plans so there’s something solid that keeps me accountable. Also, if I maybe forget (which can happen to anyone), I can always visit the blog wherever I am and find exactly what’s expected of me for a certain week.

The plan is to publish three posts this week, including this one. I had previously made a mental note to publish the posts about motivating people to travel: Rookie Traveling and Traveling Your City , followed by a post with a checklist of all countries in the world. That is the only reason I haven’t put up any post about my Zanzibar trip, don’t worry, I didn’t forget, I just wanted to get these posts out of the way. So this week, I’ll be publishing:

  • Future Plans For The TMId Blog – Wednesday,
  • One fashion (personal style) post – Friday,
  • A checklist of all the countries in Europe from cheapest to most expensive. I eventually decided to go with making the list per continent because it is a really huge task researching on all the countries in the world. So, this post will only have a list of all the countries in Europe with their daily expenses, and I’ll add the rest as time goes on. – Saturday.

For the next few weeks, I plan on doing a couple of really exciting reviews. I recently visited the spa at the beyond beautiful African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel and I’ll be visiting them again this weekend. I plan to stop at the restaurant for a meal on my way out so I can give a review too. It is such a beautiful hotel and it’ll be so much fun to visit and review. At the end of the month, I am going away to Santos Express in Mossel Bay, which is a 4-hours drive from Cape Town, and there will be a review for that also. There is the most exciting of all, visiting Cape Alguhas. Cape Alguhas is the extreme point/tip of Africa, where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean meet. Although, that depends on a few plans going right, but that visit will surely happen. If it all goes well, there will definitely be a post on that too.

The extremely overdue post about my Zanzibar trip will be on the blog hopefully over the next two weeks  in a series format. It is titled The Ultimate Zanzibar Travel Guide Series, and it touches on the following:

  • Planning your trip
  • Outfit ideas
  • One week fun-packed itinerary
  • Cost breakdown
  • Where to stay/eat

There will also be a few separate reviews of certain places I visited in Zanzibar. There were certain places that touched my heart and I believe they deserve a whole post dedicated to them.

I will be announcing my August 2017 destination plans sometime soon, only once I’ve booked my ticket of course and it is all sealed. I plan on learning the ropes on being a travel consultant/guide on this trip and the next, so there are plans to take two people on my next trip and plan their trip for free. I’ll touch more on this in this next section. I also plan on doing another trip in December but that’ll depend on how broke my August trip leaves me :’). If I’m too broke, I might just do a Southern African trip or something, we’ll see.

So I decided to start a YouTube channel (please click here to subscribe) to share videos from my trips, because what better way to share an experience than sharing a video?! My first vlog will be about my Zanzibar trip, and I hope to add more as I travel. Seeing as my blog schedule is already so packed, vlogs will only be posted when there’s been a major trip, for now. As my schedule clears up, or as I’m able to afford paying people to do certain things for me, I’d be able to vlog frequently. I’m yet to start editing the Zanzibar video, so if there’s anyone out there who’s good at editing videos and is willing to help a busy bee edit her videos in exchange for a service I can provide, please email me on contact@tmidofficial.com.

I’ve had plans to do a giveaway for my followers but couldn’t decide on what to give, but I have just found the perfect giveaway. I will announce the giveaway soon, with all the details. It’s so exciting! I can’t wait!

I miraculously thought of an idea recently, and the entire process was so exciting that I told myself I was going to do it. Become a travel consultant and guide. After my Zanzibar trip, I realized I was good at organizing travel adventures and was actually a great sport when visiting another country. I also realized how much I enjoyed researching on travel, especially being obsessed with finding cheap flights, so I made the decision.

My first consultation would accommodate a maximum of two people who would get to go with me on my next two trips. The trip planning: research on visa requirements, finding cheap flights, finding decent and affordable accommodation and planning a fun-packed itinerary, will be done for absolutely FREE. All you will have to do is make the necessary payments (flight, accommodation, visa) and I’ll take care of the rest. I will tell you where to find each detail and you’ll make payment on your own, I won’t handle any financial detail. One spot has already been filled, so there’s one spot left. If you’d like to join me on this, leave a comment below or send me an email on contact@tmidofficial.com and I’ll be sure to book you in. It’s on a first come, first serve basis, so hurry!!!

I am also very keen on doing a fashion collaboration with a blogger before July ends. If you’re a fashion blogger and would like to collaborate, you can email me on contact@tmidofficial.com. Really looking forward to doing this.

I have finally put together a weekly plan for the blog. Every week, I plan to put out at least one fashion post, one DIY and one travel post. There might be weeks when I’ll put out more, and I’d like to be realistic and say, there might be weeks I might also put out less. Having a 9 – 5:30 job and being a fashion designer on the side too can be quite hectic, especially when I have a lot of sewing to do. But I am learning to pace myself and do only what I can and not overbook myself, that way I can be more consistent. So here’s the weekly plan:

  • TUESDAYS – Fashion post.
  • THURSDAYS – Travel post.
  • SATURDAYS – DIY post (this is subject to availability of tools to execute ideas, but worst case, expect them twice a month).
  • SUNDAYS – If I do have a free day, which happens rarely, I’d put out one more fashion/travel/DIY post.

Not to sound like a complete headass, but I’m a very busy person. Every week, I take on more than I can handle, which is a habit I am trying to break. I can’t remember when last I had a free weekend, except the time I was hospitalized. So, please don’t be mad at me if I don’t post as often as I’ve promised, I promise to always do my best. This post was actually supposed to go up on Monday but I’ve had the craziest start to the week, whew! But better late than never, innit? I almost pushed it till next week but I found myself up at 4:30am this morning, in the mood to write, so I decided to :D.

Anyway, exciting times ahead, and remember, you’re always free to let me know what you’d like to see on here. I’d be very happy to make a post, even if it’s from just one person, like I did here. Looking forward to making all this happen, please subscribe to the blog to get emails directly sent to you immediately a new post is published. Till next time, hugs & kisses.
