DIY: The Tale of the Fake Louis Vuitton bag

Ever had a fashion item that was just so beautiful but it was a very obvious knockoff or fake and you knew you couldn’t, ever, wear it out or use it? Well, I have a great solution for that. When we’re done, you’d see how you can so definitely wear it and totally rock it too!

So recently I got a Louis Vuitton crossbody bag as a gift, you know how small crossbody bags are a thing now, so I was mad excited. Unfortunately it was a fake, a very clear fake. I took a photo so you can understand, that V siting there alone was not meant to be, it should be there with the (L)ove of its life (I’m funny, I know ?). And the pinned logo attached right there ?, the difference in the shade of gold, everything was just shouting FAKE! FAKE! FAKE! and I knew I couldn’t get away with it anyhow. But it’s such a beautiful bag, and I remembered I still had these embroidered motifs I got from the store awhile back so I got to fixing. Look at the end result, I’m completely in love ?. So whether it’s a pair of shoes, a bag or any large accessory, you can find various kinds of appliqués to attach to them or use to cover up the parts that make the “fakeness” obvious. It doesn’t even have to be a fake item, maybe it’s a plain old pair of shoes that you really love but now looks sad, used, old and ugly. Sis, get a bunch of appliqués, glue and whatever else you need and get to working. Appliqués can range from motifs to beads to chains, glass, jewels, fabrics, etc. Just get creative and go crazy; with just an idea and the right tools, you can change the world ?. That’s what some designers do anyway and we end up rushing to buy them with one month’s paycheck.

Girl, just DIY and save up your money while you get yourself that unique item that’s owned by you and only you. Get DIY-ing! I can’t wait to rock this with an awesome outfit ??.

Oh I absolutely love how it looks in black and white! ??Got any DIY ideas? Please do share ?

That is such a pretty bag. I really suck at DIY-ing but this is giving me all sorts of inspiration. Love it.

Same here but I just couldn’t lose this bag, I had to fix it. But this has birthed the desire to DIY so I’m gonna be trying my hand at a few ‘projects’. Thanks hun!
